Course Description:

Develop ideas and create projects you imagine! Work in the medium of your choice: painting, sculpture, clay, drawing, or mixed media. This class is an open studio setting without a structured curriculum and formal instruction. Each student is taught individually. During some sessions, the class accompanied by the instructor may go to a nearby park to draw from nature or other outdoor surroundings. Students should be comfortable working independently.

After-School Treats: Multi-Arts Ages 6-8

Course Description:

Children will have the opportunity to create both 2-D and 3-D projects. Our topics will include animals, nature, and storybook characters. Through the course, we will explore various artistic mediums such as drawing, painting, and collage. As the class progresses, we will graduate to working with sculptures using materials like clay, cardboard, and more. Students will create 3-4 fired clay projects per session. Join us for a fun-filled exploration of art!

Paper Worlds Ages 9-13

We use paper as the foundation for making so much art, but often overlook it as a medium itself. In this class, you will be learning how to make your own ‘paper theaters’ – intricate layers of paper cutouts carefully arranged to create a scene. Using our imaginations, we will build stories and worlds – all out of nothing more than paper and a little glue!

Course Description:

Collaging, or ‘faking’ photographs by combining multiple images has been around as long as photography itself!  In this class, you will be introduced to different ways of creating and combining images, from analog methods to digital tools, like scanning and Photoshop. This class is primarily based in photographic methods, but we will be working with other media as well.
