Course Description:

Practice drawing techniques via lectures, warm-up drawings, and longer finished poses. Techniques may include gesture and organizational line, contour line, shape-plane-volume-modeling, value, foreshortening, and anatomical studies. We will work from a clothed model and have critiques to provide a supportive class response. Choose to work in drawing and/or painting mediums.

Course Description: 

Each landscape has a feel all its own. We will look at how a variety of artists have depicted landscapes in their paintings, and each week be prompted by a topic(such as atmospheric perspective, painting distressed streets and walls, painting bodies of water). Whether you are painting in your own back yard or in a variety of travel locations, we will hone our observational skills, learn new techniques, and work with appropriate color palettes.
