You will have a chance to reflect on the readings with the group after doing some structured writing exercises. Learn to be less self-critical and tap into your creative flow.

Lost Wax Casting and More

Course Description:

This course is designed for students interested in all aspects of lost wax casting, regardless of experience or skill level, and Advanced Students pursuing individual projects. Advanced Students need to be proficient in fabrication and finishing techniques.  Assistance will be offered to all regarding design, unique bezel challenges and gemstone settings.  We will cast lost wax projects at least once during each term. Lost Wax Casting Students, all skill levels welcomed. Advanced Students, Intermediate to Advanced skill levels.

Darkroom to Digital Photography Ages 11-13

This has been designed as an introductory photo class for younger kids, 12-14 years. Students who are curious about the world of photography will be introduced to mainly analog, and some digital photographic methods. This includes printing in the darkroom, shooting film, simple digital editing, and much more! Kids will take home images from the various processes we will engage with, such as cyanotypes and pinhole cameras.

Course Description:

Learn the basics using both the wheel and hand-building techniques. Wheel techniques will begin with simpler forms including a cylinder, bowl, and plate leading into more in-depth processes. Hand building will include pinch pots, coil, and slab. You will receive direction and encouragement to expand on areas of your own interest.
