Lights, cameras, animate! This camp is perfect for aspiring animators eager to explore the world of stop-motion animation. Students will learn essential photography techniques to bring their animated creations to life, while also developing skills in plot development and character design. Using a variety of materials like clay, cardboard, and pipe cleaners, participants will craft unique stories. On the final day of camp, families and friends are invited to enjoy a premiere showcasing the students’ animated projects!

Discover the world of 3D design in this hands-on class! Students learn to create digital models using TinkerCAD and bring their ideas to life with 3D printing. The class also explores 3D pens, integrates crafting, and introduces basic mechanisms. Through project-based lessons, students develop creativity and gain a real understanding of how art and technology intersect.

Hand-Built Vessels: Exploring Forms in Clay

Course Description:

All skill levels are welcome to create a delightful variation on the vessel. Create a piece by joining slabs of clay to build a unique towering form that can be painted with colorful slips. Basic skills covered are wedging, rolling slabs, creating textures, scratching and attaching. Participants will choose a shop glaze, and the teacher will complete the ceramic process.

Color Theory: A Complete Color Guide

Course Description:

In this three-session workshop, you’ll explore the foundations of color theory as both an art and a science. Through hands-on exercises and guided practice, you’ll learn how colors mix, match, and contrast, while gaining a deeper understanding of value, hue, chroma, and temperature. We’ll learn about different color systems (CMYK, RGB, HSB, grayscale), experiment with shade, tone, and tint, and practice strategies for color dominance and harmony.
