Course Description:
Learn pinch, slab, and coil techniques to create a variety of projects from functional vessels to sculptural forms, figures, and tiles. Explore carving and painting with slips and glazes. More experienced students can explore altering their pieces and honing their skills. Historical and contemporary artists will be introduced for inspiration. Beginning and intermediate level students are welcome.

Course Description:
Learn and advance your throwing skills and glazing technique. This course will focus on the fundamentals of constructing multi-part vessels, as well as showcasing small demos each week of different gifts you can give to your friends and family! The skills you'll acquire in this course will help improve skills such as pulling handles, throwing off the hump, and making lidded forms. This class is for experienced wheel throwers only. This is not a class for students with little experience.

Course Description:
This is for those interested in studio access without instruction. Anyone enrolling must have a studio orientation with the Ceramics Studio Coordinator and adhere to EAC’s studio policies on materials, clean-up, and entrance and exit procedures. Prerequisite: students enrolled in Independent Study must have completed one ceramics class at EAC. Time depends on class schedule and will be determined in the first week of class.
Course Description:
Discover how a basic sewing machine can add embellishment and dimension to fabric in your creative projects. Learn sewing techniques like fiber couching, thread sketching, applique, and techniques to add texture to fabric with ruffles, pleating, layered cutting, and controlled crumpling.
Skill Level: Intermediate, Basic sewing knowledge is required
Course Description:
Snip, tear and assemble your way through the expressive medium of collage. Create compositions using a variety of papers and techniques to gather images, shapes and colors. To inspire your work, themes such as quotes, poems, landscape and personal imagery will be shared.
