This class is an open studio setting without a structured curriculum and formal instruction. Each student is taught individually. During some sessions, the class accompanied by the instructor may go to a nearby park to draw from nature or other outdoor surroundings. Students should be comfortable working independently.

In this class, you will be learning how to make your own ‘paper theaters’ – intricate layers of paper cutouts carefully arranged to create a scene. Using our imaginations, we will build stories and worlds – all out of nothing more than paper and a little glue!

Hand building will include pinch pots, coil, and slab. You will receive direction and encouragement to expand on areas of your own interest.
