Learn the materials and methods of bookbinding, and make a variety of handmade books. Starting with folded books and pamphlet stitch, students will gradually hone their skill and continue on to more complex books. You will complete eight or more books over the course of the session, books that can be used as journals or given as gifts! 

Repeaters of the course will practice learning new skills alongside new binders, honing their craft.

Intermediate Woodworking for Adults

Building upon the information, tools, and techniques covered in the Basic Woodworking class or for new students with previous woodworking experience. Students will continue working on current projects as well as beginning new ones approved by the instructor. Understanding wood and wood movement, purchasing raw lumber, furniture joinery, finishing techniques, and a thorough understanding of hand and power tools in today’s woodworking shops will be explored. Students will be expected to purchase their own materials for their projects.

Basic Woodworking for Adults

You are encouraged to purchase and fabricate at least one woodworking project.
