Course Description:
Immerse yourself in the beauty of the great outdoors! Students will learn to capture the essence of nature through various artistic mediums, including painting, drawing, and collage. Students will gain inspiration from landscapes, plants, and wildlife while developing their skills in observation and creativity. Note: Weather permitting, some classes may be held outside at McCulloch Park.
Inky Illustrations Ages 9-11 (Week 9)
Course Description:
Bring your illustrations to life! Dive into the world of contemporary illustration as you create hand-drawn unique original characters, fantasy monsters, and sci-fi landscapes by exploring the world of contemporary illustration. Students will experiment with materials including watercolor, ink, and micron pens to develop their unique artistic style and vision!
Cityscapes & World Building Ages 9-11 (Week 9)
Course Description:
Step into the art of imaginative world building as you design vibrant cityscapes, atmospheric environments, and the stories that inhabit them. In this mixed-media class, students will experiment with watercolor, ink, micron pens, collage, and more to create dynamic urban landscapes both real and fantastical. Build your visual storytelling skills, develop a personal artistic style, and bring entirely new worlds to life through layered textures, bold compositions, and inventive design.
