Course Description:
In this workshop, you will experiment with a variety of techniques used to create mono prints on a Gelli plate. A Gelli Plate is a synthetic, gelatin-like printing plate that simplifies and enhances the mono printing process. On the first day, we will use found objects, stamps (both commercial and ones we make), and many more texture tools. Acrylic paints and a variety of papers will be used throughout the workshop. The second day will be all about building more layers and complexity in your prints. As well as time to use the prints to create a book, collage fodder, pages of a book, stand alone prints. Gelli plates will be provided. However, please bring a gelli plate if you own one.
