This is for those interested in studio access without instruction. Anyone enrolling must have a studio orientation and adhere to EAC’s studio policies on materials, cleanup, and entrance and exit procedures. Prerequisite: students enrolled must have completed one wood class at EAC. Open Studio begins second week of classes.
Course Description:
Individual coaching on the drawing and painting aspects of portrait painting. Focus on developing your drawing skills only or develop your abilities to render the model in color. Bring drawing and or painting materials of your choice to the first class for poses lasting 2 to 3 weeks

Course Description:
This introductory course will get you started with screen printing. Photographic process will be taught as well as images applied to the screen with brush and drawing fluid. A knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is not a requirement but can be helpful to those that know it. Photoshop is not taught in this class. Most hand-drawn images can be used as imagery for photo process and this will be demonstrated.
Course Description:
You will learn the basics as well as freeing techniques that will help you stay loose and take advantage of "happy accidents", the gift of watercolor. You will learn a variety of ways of mixing colors on the brush, on the palette and on the paper using freeing approaches such as tilting, spraying and lifting. You will be guided by mini demos, consequtive skill building exercises, individual mentoring, class sharing and gentle critique. Appropriate for brand new beginners as well as returning students who want to loosen up.

Anyone enrolling must take a studio orientation and adhere to EAC studio policies on materials, clean-up, as well as entrance and exit procedures. We strongly prefer that at least one EAC printmaking course has been taken prior. Independent Study schedules will be announced the first week of class. New enrollees must contact Director of Education or Studio Coordinator Duffy O’Connor prior to registering.
