This is for experienced printmakers who want studio access without instruction (a monitor is present). Anyone enrolling must take a studio orientation and adhere to EAC studio policies on materials, clean-up, as well as entrance and exit procedures. We strongly prefer that at least one EAC printmaking course has been taken prior. Independent Study schedules will be announced the first week of class. New enrollees must contact Director of Education or Studio Coordinator Duffy O’Connor prior to registering.

Course Description:
I teach a fast‑moving, hands‑on papermaking studio where students dip, pour, stencil, swirl in color, and even cast a lifesize 3D starfish. I guide them as they play with texture, natural materials, and bold pulp experiments that lead to lively, one‑of‑a‑kind sheets. Everyone leaves with handmade papers and the spark of how fun, messy, and totally beginner‑friendly papermaking can be.
