Course Description:

This course will focus on the fundamentals of drawing and painting while creating fun and creative works of art. The beginning of the course will focus on building observational and rendering skills by creating landscapes, still-life pieces, and figures, moving toward more imaginative and exploratory art-making. Materials covered include graphite, pen and ink, oil pastel, soft pastel, India ink, watercolors, and acrylic paint. Styles of art covered in the class include Impressionism, Surrealism, Expressionism, Op Art, and examples from Contemporary art.

Except for the Independent Study Program, EAC membership is no longer required to take adult classes. EAC members receive a tuition discount on all adult classes, youth classes and workshops.
