Abigail Glaum-Lathbury is a Chicago-based artist and fashion designer. For close to a decade she has produced her women's ready-to-wear line, which she presents twice a year during New York Fashion Week to boutiques across the country and internationally. Her recent body of work seeks to question the line between art and fashion by investigating the social meanings embedded within clothing. Her latest collaborative project, titled JUMPSUIT, asks the question: What if you never had to pick out an outfit again? First presented in Stockholm, Sweden through an International Cultural Exchange Grant, it also won the 2016 CEDF Grant from Los Angeles’ Center for Cultural Innovation. The project encompassed performances and workshops at a number of institutions, including Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art, Machine Project in Los Angeles, Flux Factory in New York and Dome of Visions in Copenhagen.
