Course Description:

Get started on your knitting addiction by learning the basics - knit stitch, purl stitch, casting on and binding off. We will be making small swatches of these techniques with simple stitch patterns thrown in to use in your first scarf. A beginner kit will be available for purchase from the Art Center, which will include 100 gram skein of wool, a tapestry needle and markers for $10. Knitting needles are available for $5. If you already own needles, you will need a US 10 or 10.5. Also bring scissors, pencil, tape measure and calculator. Ages 16+

Except for the Independent Study Program, EAC membership is no longer required to take adult classes. EAC members receive a tuition discount on all adult classes, youth classes and workshops.
