Course Description:

Discover how the painter’s color wheel was created to inform color harmony, and how to move beyond the wheel to find your own appreciation for color choices. Students will learn the history of color systems through the ages, how the 3-pigment primary color system was developed, and how human color perception affects the colors you see. Each concept in class is supported with hands-on exercises using colored paper and class discussion, creating multiple examples to take home and study.
