Course Description:
This course introduces a line-based method of observation to express structure, proportion, and relationships using intentional line work. Through guided observation exercises and simple line practice rooted in traditional Chinese art methodology, students develop line sensitivity, control, and the ability to construct form with clarity and intention.
The course emphasizes seeing more accurately and organizing visual information structurally. Students learn how to recognize underlying structure and translate what they see into confident, expressive drawings using line alone.
Open to all levels. Digital reference materials support continuity and reinforce the in-class drawing process.
