This piece was created on paper and then adhered to a wood panel. Using acrylic paint, watercolor, and fluid acrylics, I engaged in a dynamic process of layering, adding, and masking paint to evoke the textures and surfaces of the earth, as well as feelings of nature. A crackle effect was achieved by applying multiple layers of pigment and paint, enhancing the piece's visual depth and texture.
