EVANSTON ART CENTER WELCOMES ITS NEWEST TRUSTEE JOHN R. JACOBS

 

The Evanston Art Center’s newest Board member, who is an Evanston resident, will bring the Art Center valuable expertise in the architectural realm

 

We’re thrilled to have John R. Jacobs as part of our dedicated team of Trustees, staff, donors, faculty, and volunteers as we look forward to identifying a new, state-of-the art facility for the Art Center’s future home.

John’s residence and business are both located in Evanston. He is an architect and business owner with experience across a range of project types including residential and institutional design. He is an award-winning designer of renovations and additions to historic buildings. His work has been featured in Better Homes and Gardens, House Beautiful and Metal Architecture, among other publications. Additionally, he is a passionate advocate for access to the arts and alternative transportation.

Licensed as an architect in both Illinois and Wisconsin, John is a member of the American Institute of Architects and has NCARB Certification. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago and is the Principal of John R. Jacobs Architecture, with offices located at 1707 Central Street in Evanston.

 

The Evanston Art Center is dedicated to fostering the appreciation and expression of the arts among diverse audiences. The Art Center offers extensive and innovative instruction in broad areas of artistic endeavor through classes, exhibition, interactive arts activities, and community outreach initiatives.

Gallery Hours:  Mon. – Thurs. 10 am – 9 pm; Fri. – Sat. 10 am – 4 pm; Sun. 1 – 4 pm
First floor galleries are handicapped accessible. Limited free parking is available.
