EVANSTON ART CENTER 2015 SPRING BENEFIT: THE ART PARTY

The Evanston Art Center (EAC), a non-profit arts organization, proudly presents The Art Party, the 28th Annual Spring Benefit taking place on Saturday, May 16, 2015. Given EAC’s upcoming move, an exciting change for this year’s event is the venue. Linda Beck, Event Chair and President-elect states, “We are thrilled our 2015 Spring Benefit unveils our new location at 1717 Central Street. This inaugural event in our new home provides many ways for our sponsors and our guests to celebrate our mission and vision.”

For over 85 years, EAC has provided public outreach programs, exhibitions and resources for art education. The Spring Benefit is an integral part of the Evanston Art Center’s success with a special thanks to our sponsors: First Bank and Trust of Evanston, Gofen and Glossberg, LLC, Green Bay Trail Dentistry, Harris Bank, Hart Davis Hart Wines Co. and media sponsor, Evanston Magazine. We are pleased to have Michael Davis of Hart Davis Hart Wines Co. as Master of Ceremonies and Auctioneer of this year’s event. This yearly tradition includes a silent auction that raises money to support EAC’s mission: fostering the appreciation and expression of the arts among diverse audiences. Last year, over 200 attendees from the Chicago Metro area helped to raise $50,000.

Tickets are still available for purchase to attend this year’s event. Individual tickets cost $200, and tables of ten start at $2,500. Additionally, patron tickets are offered at $500 and include: an invitation for two people to attend the Rare Wine Tasting VIP pre-party event; advertisement on EAC’s website with 60,000 views annually; and listing in the event program book.

The price for all tickets includes a wonderful dinner by Catering by Michael's, a photo booth and DJ managed by the Magic Moment Photo Booth Company music and the opportunity to bid on a selection of items in our silent auction. Items vary from a two-night complimentary stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain Arizona, to Chicago attractions such as The French Pastry School and a DVAL membership to the Gene Siskel Film Center.

Attending this event will not only be a lovely evening out, but it is also an opportunity to support EAC’s important mission. Beck adds, “The EAC is grateful to the individuals and businesses that have already pre-purchased table sponsorships for they are making a huge difference in the lives we touch through art”.

Evanston Art Center’s Spring Benefit is made possible from the work and commitment from EAC’s committee members: Linda Beck, Ann Grote, Karen Hunt, Jessica Jacobs , Andrea Knohl, Teresa Lickerman, Gabby Nagel, Karen Ribbon, Art Williams and Chava Wu.

The Evanston Art Center is dedicated to fostering the appreciation and expression of the arts among diverse audiences by offering extensive and innovative instruction in broad areas of artistic endeavor through classes, exhibitions, interactive arts activities, and community outreach.
