Bustling downtown Evanston is about to get even hotter this June as it rolls out the welcome mat of creativity that is Fountain Square Artisan SummerFest.
Held just steps north of downtownÔÇÖs eponymous (and recently renovated) Fountain Square, the North ShoreÔÇÖs oldest fine arts happening is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2019. Presented by the Evanston Chamber of Commerce, it will showcase an inspirational mix of juried handiwork from nearly 100 eclectic artists.
For the young oneÔÇÖs there will be an activity area with several nifty interactive projects overseen by the Evanston Art Center. And to keep things jumping, thereÔÇÖs also a music stage, food and beer/wine vendors, and entertainment courtesy of strolling street musicians and performers.
