ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Evanston resident, Dorothy Marks has been a steadfast supporter of the Evanston Art Center; taking classes and serving on the Board. She is passionate about the conservation and repurposing of beautiful, historic architecture. A headline about the shuttering of French bakeries inspired her to write her 2022 debut novel - Les Beaux Châteaux.  Les Beaux Châteaux was featured #1 on Amazon’s Historical French Fiction Best Seller list and tells the story of a father and son who must learn a new way forward as traditional French life evolves. Dorothy’s goal is to intrigue readers with fresh news from the past.  Dorothy will do a brief reading and take questions about her book and share her plans for her next writing adventure on Sunday, November 5 at 3pm.
