BACK IN THE DAY WHEN I WAS YOUNG, I'M NOT A KID ANYMORE

Blair, our newest EAC Intern from Shanghai, China, writes about one of her favorite pieces on display in our gallery:

On my first day as an intern at EAC, I found plenty of interesting artworks. Some are realistic and some are abstract. The artist Natasha Giles Somerville is a South Carolina based painter and educator that originally hails from Kentucky. The first sight I had on this picture, I felt the sense of identification of that harmonious atmosphere while turned into deep thought when I saw the title of it: “ Back in the Day When I Was Young, I’m not a Kid Anymore.”  Without pressure, it’s easy to imagine, the kids are so much excited. Life will never be easy for adults and most of the time, we want to get rid of everything and back to the innocent childhood. Nobody can stay young forever but there is always someone who are in their childhood, we should cherish every single moment of our life.
