Flash-Workshop Narrative Structure Series

Workshop 1 - Novel Structure, July 29, 7-9 pm

Workshop 2 - Screenplay Structure, July 30, 7-9 pm

The Narrative Structure “Flash-Workshop” Series are free, one-day lessons on common narrative structures. They will be led by author, screenwriter, and narrative coordination UNC Chapel Hill Senior, Ian Jones.

The workshops are intended for beginning/intermediate narratively inspired teenagers and adults aged 13+. To prioritize quality small-group discussions and intimate feedback, workshops are limited to 10 students each.

 

Workshop 1 (July 29th, 7-9 PM @EAC) will focus on novel structure. Topics will include: Save the Cat vs. Hero's Journey, crafting a collective group story from idea to outline, individual writing time and feedback, and a group critique of individual work. Register Here! 

 

Workshop 2 (July 30th, 7-9 PM @EAC) will focus on feature-film screenplay structure. Topics will include: film sequencing, crafting a collective group story from idea to outline, individual writing time and feedback, and a group critique of individual work. Register Here!
