Course Description:

Learn the basics using both the wheel and hand building techniques. Wheel techniques will begin with simpler forms including a cylinder, bowl and plate leading into more in-depth processes. Hand building will include, pinch pots, coil and slab. Start with the basics, and you will receive direction and encouragement to expand on areas of your own interest. Students must purchase a beginner pottery tool kit from a local art store.

  • In-person class (with reduced capacity) closely following Restore Illinois guidelines.
  • Face coverings required throughout the duration of class.t
  • Includes COVID-19 cleaning fee.

Except for the Independent Study Program, EAC membership is no longer required to take adult classes. EAC members receive a tuition discount on all adult classes, youth classes and workshops. A $75 Independent Study membership is required to participate in the Independent Study Program. The Evanston resident discount no longer applies.
