Course Description:

Bring your ideas to life by transforming them into three-dimensional works of art. Learn to build armatures and work in a variety of materials such as soldered steel, fabric, cardboard, Paris-Craft plaster, wax, non-toxic adhesives and hardware store materials. Students will develop concepts for their sculptures through exploring various mediums. Demonstrations on materials will be offered the first class session and students will develop and build their small-scale sculptures weeks 2 through 5. Students will also be given the opportunity to view contemporary sculpture during this class.
