Course Description:
New and continuing woodturners are invited to discover the joy of creating useful and artful objects of wood on the lathe while working semi-privately with the instructor (maximum 2 students in the class). Learn and perfect the basics of woodturning while creating several small projects. Instructor-led demonstrations alternate with guided practice at the lathe, safety procedures, and time for creating at your own pace. Tools and basic materials provided.
Skill Level: Beginner / Intermediate
• In-person class closely following Restore Illinois guidelines. Private class accommodating only one student at a time.
• Open Studio time is not included in the tuition.
• Face coverings are required during the duration of class.
• Includes COVID-19 cleaning fee.

Except for the Independent Study Program, EAC membership is no longer required to take adult classes. EAC members receive a tuition discount on all adult classes, youth classes and workshops. A $75 Independent Study membership is required to participate in the Independent Study Program. The Evanston resident discount no longer applies.
