Course Description:

Pinching, coil and slab techniques demonstrated to create a variety of projects ranging from functional vessels to sculptural forms, figures and tiles. You will paint and carve while exploring slips and glazes. Historical and contemporary artists will be introduced for inspiration. More advanced students will be encouraged to hone your skills while exploring new or continued projects. 

Skill Level: Beginner, Intermediate

  • In-person class (with reduced capacity) closely following Restore Illinois guidelines.

  • Face coverings required throughout the duration of class.

  • Includes COVID-19 cleaning fee.

  • Includes 1 free bag of clay. 

  • Please note: this session does not include Open Studio time. Ceramics Open Studio hours are available for additional cost.

Except for the Independent Study Program, EAC membership is no longer required to take adult classes. EAC members receive a tuition discount on all adult classes, youth classes and workshops. A $75 Independent Study membership is required to participate in the Independent Study Program. The Evanston resident discount no longer applies.
