Course Description:

Explore the medium of metal. Students learn techniques, then apply them making your choice of jewelry, small sculpture, utensils, and more. We will be mostly working with copper, brass, and sterling silver. For beginners, basic soldering and finishing skills will be covered, as well as sawing, a stone setting, riveting, wirework, chains, and other techniques if time permits. No lost wax casting is done in this class. More advanced students will get help on specific projects.
