One-week: June 27- July 1
Course Description:
During this 1-week intensive, students will have the opportunity to visit a variety of locations where they will spend the day making art en plein air. Each day students will meet at different sites around Evanston or the Northshore. Monday, students will study the architecture of the Bahai Temple. On Tuesday, students will meet at Lighthouse Beach to focus on landscapes. The camp will meet at Fountain Square in Downtown Evanston, on Wednesday, to focus on cityscapes and figures. Thursday, students will meet at the Mitchell Museum of the American Indian to study Native American art objects and culture. The camp will culminate on Friday at the Chicago Botanic Gardens to create nature and botanical watercolors. Students will use materials such as scratchboard, pastel pencils, pen & ink, as well as watercolors. Note: Students should bring a lunch and water bottle for each day.

Except for the Independent Study Program, EAC membership is no longer required to take adult classes. EAC members receive a tuition discount on all adult classes, youth classes and workshops. A $75 Independent Study membership is required to participate in the Independent Study Program. The Evanston resident discount no longer applies.
