Course Description:

Create works of art inspired by artists and art movements as we explore art throughout history. Get to know a different art movement and medium at the beginning of each day., followed by hands-on art making to utilize visual and tactile learning to build deeper understanding of art history and the artistic process. We will cover art from around 500 BCE to present, and include works from all over the world. Projects include Grecian ceramic vase, an illuminated manuscript, print inspired by Japanese woodblocks, mini-impressionist painting, and a project inspired by mixed-media contemporary artists.
