One Week: June 26 - June 30

Course Description:

Architects and designers get their inspiration from many environments from nature to what already exists in our built in environment. In this camp students look at examples of architecture and design in the community to find personal inspiration. The camp begins with looking and sketching and then goes into building. In years past students have made complex tree house maquettes set in live branches scavenged from the area. This project allows students to think about personal habitats and dwellings, i.e. what is a home, what should it look like, who lives there, entrances and exits, windows and light, what climate will be, etc.
