Six-week class beginning October 29, 2019
This class was listed as beginning on October 22 in the printed catalog.
Make your photographs more experimental and abstract through a variety of photographic techniques to move beyond the traditional, representational approach. We’ll cover camera basics, look at a brief history of abstract photography, and involve different projects both inside and outside of class. With digital cameras (either your own or EAC’s) and Adobe Photoshop we’ll explore such digital techniques of fragmentation, inversion and layer blending. In the darkroom, we’ll experiment with the analog process of photograms. Bring a hard-drive or large thumb drive for transporting digital files, notebook, file or folder for holding and carrying prints (optional). Some past experience with photography recommended.
