Understanding light will improve your photographs. Students will learn to work with both natural and artificial lighting to achieve stunning photographs. The following topics will be explores; how to measure natural and artificial lighting, the best times of the day for shooting outdoors, lighting ratios, how to adjust your highlight and shadow details for better control, understanding color balance, and how to fine tune your images in post-production. A basic knowledge of Photoshop will be helpful. Please bring: Digital SLR, Light Meter, Gray Card/Color Checker, Portable External Flash Unit and External Hard Drive.
