Etching and Woodcut in the Print Shop (Summer) Ages 14-18

Note: This class meets in the EAC Print Studio in the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 921 Noyes Street, Lower Level.
Etching and woodcut is a multi-level course which includes an introduction to basic intaglio (etching and engraving) techniques, monotype and relief printmaking (woodcut). Instruction will be individualized, subject matter will come from students' own drawings and each class member will be able to create several plates, at least one woodblock and short editions of prints. The goal of the class will be individual development within the framework of the collaborative print studio. The shop will provide all basic materials and supplies. The latest non-toxic methodology will be used.
