Art School: Printmaking
Students at all levels may learn woodcut, etching, lithography, letterpress and silk screen as well as related printmaking techniques. Our shop uses non-toxic methodology and is equipped with a Takach etching press, a Fuchs and Lang lithography press and a Challenge letterpress as well as all basic printmaking studio tools and materials. Students provide paper and plates, the studio provides basic inks and most other materials required for handmade fine art prints. Participants in all printmaking classes except Express Classes can access the Open Studio Printmaking Session, Fridays, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm. Open studio is for students who can work independently, no instruction is provided.
Printmaking Classes are offered by the Evanston Art Center at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes Street, Evanston. Classes meet in the northwest basement printmaking studio.
