Beginning / Intermediate Jewelry

Ten-week class beginning June 13, 2012
Through structured projects, beginning students will be introduced to basic fabrication techniques - such as sawing, soldering, filing and finishing - and become accustomed to working with jewelry-making tools and equipment. Intermediate students add techniques to their repertoire and increase their skill levels. The instructor may present demonstrations for all levels, including riveting, chain making, stone setting, torquing, patination, etching, and marriage of metals. Students should be prepared to purchase a materials kit - cost approximately $60. (No open-toed shoes in class.)
Note: This class is held at the EAC Jewelry Studio in the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes Street, lower level.
