Donate Here to SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE campaign

The Evanston Art Center's new facility located at 1717 Central Street is currently being transformed into a hub for arts and culture.

Our Capital Campaign, SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE, which was launched in July 2014 has collected $2,080,107 in generous contributions. With the addition of future pledges, we are now less than $500,000 shy of our overall goal of $2,500,000. Your tax-deductible contributions will enable us to complete the renovation and purchase studio equipment for our first classes!

We're planning a dynamic mash-up of discipline-specific visual arts studios and mixed-use spaces in which digital fabrication, craft, design, music, movement, film, language, storytelling, social practice, song, and even the culinary arts will be offered. This new community of makers of all ages and backgrounds will be encouraged to take an active role in the life of the center.

WE NEED YOUR CAMPAIGN SUPPORT TODAY!

Please consider being part of this important community arts effort which will benefit many. Send a tax-deductible contribution today.

SEE BIGGER

Our longstanding commitment to providing quality visual arts programming, including art classes, exhibitions, public programs, and community outreach, has earned the Art Center a national reputation as a leading provider of quality arts education and enrichment. However, our vision for the future is much bigger. We want to serve more people in more ways.

While the visual arts will remain our core focus, we will add complementary programming in culinary and language arts, design, digital fabrication, film, movement, music, performance, and more. Larger gallery spaces ideal for exhibiting installation and mixed media works, as well as special event rentals, are welcome additions. We will even have a comfortable place to sit and 'talk art,' a coffee bar named the Art Bar. Outreach efforts such as our mobile art education van, Art VanGo, will continue to provide arts and cultural programming to even wider audiences.

IMPACT

With a new facility and cross-disciplinary program agenda, we will be able to deepen our impact in four overall areas: Creative Youth Development, Lifelong Learning, Arts Professional Development, and Community Engagement and Partnerships. More people from more places will benefit from Art Center activities.

NOW

The time is now! We are already setting up for our first classes in the new building and need your help to make it happen.

100% of our Trustees and Staff have given to the effort. A renewed Evanston Art Center housed in an inspiring space is within reach. If we work together, we will co-create and sustain a new center of arts and culture in Evanston - a place where creativity meets community for all of us.
