"Sculpture on the Grounds":
Sculptures are on view for one year
Submission Deadline: Ongoing
To submit proposals and work samples, send an email to call4artists@evanstonartcenter.org with “Sculpture on the Grounds” in the email subject line. include your contact information, CV, brief overview of your proposal - keeping Guidelines below in mind, 10 - 15 (low resolution JPEGs), and ideas for community outreach projects in conjunction with the installation.
EAC Exhibitions Committee selects one proposal per year for our Sculpture on the Grounds program in the fall for a summer installation. Ideally, we would like to work two years in advance.
Guidelines:
Installations must engage with the unique geography and history of the Evanston Art Center site therefore pre-existing sculptural pieces are not considered. These large-scale, site-specific works result in sculptures that create an interesting dialog with the site and Art Center. Materials must be able to withstand outdoor weather conditions typical of this location, be installed and de-installed by the artist, and be within a budget limit of $10,000, including artist honorarium.
