CDs

1) Format CDs for Mac & PC

2) Label CD with the artist’s name and list of works.

3) Include a color printout of the images with the titles underneath.

4) Files must be JPEG FORMAT ONLY at 200 ppi

(minimum 5”x6”/1000 x 1200 pixels maximum 10"x10"/2000 x 2000 pixels) and RGB

5) File name must be an image # that corresponds to the entry form and a shortened title of the work, such as 1untitled.jpg

Do not use your name, spaces/periods, uppercase letters, and do not exceed 10 characters for file names. Also do not put your name on the image itself.

 

 

Email

Frequently Asked Questions

When will my CD be returned?

Non-accepted CDs will be returned within approximately six weeks ONLY if a self-addressed, stamped envelope is enclosed.

CDs of accepted work will be returned after the closing of the exhibition. EAC reserves the right to use accepted art work for publicity purposes

What is a jpeg?

JPEG, pronounced "Jay Peg," is one of the most popular image formats used for storing and transmitting images on the Internet.

What is ppi?

PPI is an abbreviation for Pixels Per Inch, and specifies the number of pixels in a square inch that make up an image

How do I adjust the ppi?

Adobe Photoshop is the simplest program to use for ppi adjustments. If you do not have photoshop, a trial version is available at www.adobe.com.

1) Open Photoshop

2) Open an image in Photoshop

3) Move your cursor to Image and Scroll down to Image Size and click on it

4) Adjust the resolution to 200 ppi and make sure that your image is still at least 5x6 inches / 1000x1200 pixels in size

5) Click ok and save the image

What is RGB?

RGB stands for the colors Red, Green and Blue. While CMYK are the colors used for full-color printing, RGB are the colors that monitors and televisions use to show colors.
